I know most laptop use cheap 6-bit TN panel( except IBM 15 SXGA+ and other very expensive ones), I just ordered a 1720 , in the "help me to choose", it is saying that high res screen is wide view angle, while normal XGA+ is not. So it makes me wondering maybe the screen is MVA or PVA? or it is just a better TN panel? and in some review, it was saying that the gamut is about 72% (normal TN is about 42%)!
I have seen the screen of e1705, I was really impressed, the color is saturated, much better than other 90% in the market.
Can anybody tell what is the panel of UXGA 1720?
Thanks a lot

dell uses 3 or 4 manufactures right now. there is now way to know what panel you will get just because one person here has a specific brand or model def does not mean you will get that one. just remember that

I had Samsung, LG, and Sharp on my old E1705. Sharp was the best in my experience.
