    dell laptop made in 2000 or 2001 with a 12 inch screen....one of my friends is selling me this laptop for $50 dollars i was just wondering if anyone knows what it might be....he said it has 1 gig of ram and lol he told me the rest but i dont remember.....thx to anyone who can help me...

    Just check the device manager after you got, then you know for sure.

    A picture would help. I don't think Dell had too many 12" machines back then, maybe a Latitude LS or X series?

    The x200 came out in like 2002 or 2003. I think it's a bit later than your timeframe.

    It's probably a Latitude LS 400. I bought one on fleabay a while ago and it was a good little machine :)

    Just google it under the images tab and find out if that's it....

    lol no he knows but i couldnt understand what he said...he works on computers....i was on my cell phone and he was breaking up and i was like ok ill buy it...lol

    I think it could be the Inspiron 700m, as well, unless that came out afterwards. That was 12", too, and was replaced by the 710m, then the XPS m1210.
