I also read reviews and watch videos and tell myself how nice it is. Then check the tracking # over and over.

Prepare to send it back for a replacement and continue finding ways to 'pass time'.

Read reviews, I guess, find way to modify it and suck all the extra power you can out of it - if you're the enthusiast type. Assuming you are if your buying a XPS...

Also waiting for my system. Ive watched all the Youtube vids and read plenty of reviews!!

I may download the video drivers etc. Ive got my software etc ready, and my routine for reinstallation, my settings changes, and all my software to go on written down ;)

I guess all I need is the drivers, and also AnyDVD for watching Blu-Ray's..... ;)

Those are good ideas. Also, you could shop for a bag to carry the laptop in, a separate mouse, a keyboard if you will use a separate monitor and an external hard drive for backups.

Go look up prices on the accessories you'll probably want or need to buy to use it effectively. For instance, Bluetooth mouse (if you have Bluetooth wireless as an option), a notebook lock, a case/backpack, a wireless access point if you don't have one, etc.

Get all of your data from your previous computer ready to move onto your new one. Buy any accessories, software or upgrades for it right now.

Download, burn and try Linux distros.

Considering u'r ordering a 1330, that should mean you are not going to game hard, so, why not Linux :D?

That's what I've been doing. I'm throwing all the .exe files onto my flash drive so that I can do a clean install and then have everything I want all ready for me to install.
