what will happen after 10th may?

sorry for my pretty poor english. Does anybody know if current coupon codes of 500$ rebate for 1705 will be still available after 10th of may? hope that because of santa rosa release Dell will increase rebate to 600$ going to buy 1705 and i'm very frighten that I will miss the rebate , cuz i have to wait just another few weeks for money. I have been waiting for this lappy since november. They can't exchange the best lappy out there for some extrimely expensive new one just that...just becouse new gen-santarosa (only 20%performance increase for few times $$$ more) is comeing in. Thousends of people in all over the world are planning to buy 1705 right now - when there is a 500$ rebate. It would be very silly from Dell to miss such occasion. In my poor country -Poland people are so poor that they buy lappys only in USA or (in some cases) in Germany. They are planning such purchases for months and look for bargains, so after 2 years it is possible to sold such lappy without a significant loose. I must know wether new santa rosa 1705 will be realesed in the begining of june or in the end to not miss a deadline.

 

i reciently asked dell and they said "we have no information ablut that"

 

i doubt 500 off will be avaible for santa rosa systems. You never get deep discounts like that on new systems.

 

how about non-santa rosa systems w/ the new inspiron design?

 

i doubt they will even make it,.. new inspirons w/ out sr.

 

as far as i know there wont be any santa rosa insprirons within the coming weeks. Just new santa rosa latitudes. Probably nothing significant will happen to inspiron line after may 10. The happenings will be in June.
