    what's the latest i can cancel my dell order?

    I ordered a dell e1420 on saturday and i wanted to know the last possible day i could call dell up and cancel my order without any charges? it's expected shipping date is august 14th.

    You can cancel it up untill delivery and even then you have 30 days

    If you cancel after delivery, Dell may or may not charge a 15% restocking fee. Just FYI.

    if you tell the driver to refuse ..shipment, you should get a credit back

    Very true. On my first order I asked the delivery guy if I could refuse shipment and he was very nice about it. Told me I definitely could and I should expect credit back in a few days...

    ...however I'm still waiting on the credit and the first one was delivered on the 24th.

    ok thanks everyone...i think i'll actually keep my order and just change the Lid to Midnight Blue...hopefully it can get here by August 30th :)

    To un-confuse you, when you call them to change something, they have to completely cancel your order and re-order at that moment. Your ship date will be pushed back quite a bit. And you will be given a new order number.

    Thats what happened to me both times I called to change something. 3 order numbers for the same order. First two cancelled.
