    Hey which specs for the price look better to you guys?

    xps m170 7800 go gtx, 2.0 grs, 2 GB ram, 100 gb 7200 rpm harddrive, 3 year warranty, brand new for $2,000
    or

    xps m170 7800 go gtx, 2.0 grs, 1GB ram, 60 gb 7200 rpm harddrive, 1 year warranty
    brand new for $1,600

    all the other specs are the same on both, like dvd-rw, true bright......ect

    Personally,

    I would go with the second and just upgrade the warranty. You can always buy more RAM and a new/larger HDD later. :p

    ok thats what I was thinking, I was just alittle worried that it would be hard to do it yourself. Is it very hard?

    RAM is in a slot underneath the laptop. The hard drive is 2-screws and it slides in. Once you have the new harddrive in you have to either re-install or image the new harddrive.

    Pretty easy actually. :p

    zeborry have you checked dell outlet? They sometimes have some very good deals. I have seen one similar to the 2nd one you have posted for around $1300.

    I looked at dell outlet there all $1600 and above for refurbished ones.
