My "S" on the XPS logo fell off. Its just a chrome looking sticker. What should I use to stick back on. I dont want the glue to ruin the paint job. Thanks.

Wow, that's pretty cheap of Dell to just glue on the paint job.

Not sure what to tell you, you could call Dell and find out what you can do to put it back on without ruining it.

Send it back, get a refund, and buy a solidly built notebook :p.

The "P" on mine fell out too. Got in touch with Dell's tech support and they sent someone over to change the cover. It's a pretty complicated process and took almost an hour.

Sounds like Dell needs to put more care in "glueing" on their logo letters.

yes it is. This XPS logo problem has been around for quite some time now. Why didn't dell take care of this. BTW do having a microsatin or non-microsatin finish on the cover affect the glueing?

so alexzeon didn't get this logo problem? I also consider to get one with WLED display. it sure is assuring me that my xps m1330 will have no problem with the logo. :)

Just because alexzeon didn't have a problem (yet) doesn't mean you won't.

I had this problem with the WLED screen and I had it replaced for that, among other, reasons.

No reason to buy a different laptop because of the sticker, but you certainly deserve to have it stay on.

I have the thin LED screen...the letters came off, and the tech came to replace the entire lid (a gruesome process), only to discover he had the wrong lid. Well, I discovered it. I sent the whole thing back for a new one, which is what I suggest you do. When we pay this much for a laptop, they need to get all the details right, and pay for it when they don't.

try using crazy glue. Heat doesn't cause that stuff to lift. All my m1330's so far have had the glue applied to the stickers properly. If your computer has no other problems i don't recommending letting them open it or getting a new one. You might end up with one with far worse problems.

good luck with whatever method you try though.

Oh man! I'm crossing my fingers days and nights...the reason that I asked whether this just happened on CCFL was because I have a classmate who had the CCFL got the sticker peel off. Meanwhile, I remembered I saw a guy saying only CCFL had this problem as CCFL releases more heat (to melt the glue) than WLED...
