    when ordering , does dell take immediate payment?

    i put my order in and paid through paypal like 5 days ago...everything seems fine, my order says confirmed, but no money has been taking from my paypal ,it just says payment pending...maybe dell will ship me a free laptop :)

    When I ordered on 12/19, the payment didn't even show up until I received it on 12/24. I also thought Dell is sending a free laptop..LOL..

    A lot of people cancel their orders and reorder. By not taking the money from your account until they actually ship it, they eliminate the several day wait to refund money to customers.
