    which xps m1330 configuration is a better deal?

    both are refurbs with 2.2ghz with 64gb SSD, 4965 wireless, 9 cell battery, BT, nvidia graphics

    a) tuxedo black, 3gb ram, LCD display, Vista Home Premium for 1526

    b) crimson red, 4gb ram, LED display, Vista Ultimate for 1682

    Yeah, thats not too much more for the led +4gb. I would go with it. You will get more than that price difference back in a resale.

    who were the people who said A? I wonder if it was because they felt that the LED display isn't worth it.

    it's too bad they don't have anymore 15% off outlet coupons floating around or I could get B with only 3gb ram and vista premium for a couple hundred dollars less : (

    hmm not sure if Outlet is worth it since they are all returns. you'll either get a CMO display, a whiny machine, poor build quality or any combination of the above... I personally don't think that's worth the $200 of savings... (likely less with the current deals)

    that might be true, but the one LED I have coming has
    "1 MM350 Module,Liquid Crystal Display 13.3WX,Light Emitting Diode TMD,M1330 " in the invoice, which I understand means Toshiba. If it's defective I'll just return it. It's a lot more savings than $200 if you factor in the SSD, more like 600-700 in savings
