I'm looking to get a dell laptop that can support dual monitor output. My current setup is the studio xps 1340, and it is capable of outputing to both vga and hdmi simultaneously, which is exactly what I am looking for.

I just saw the new vostro v130 laptop added an hdmi port along with their pre-existing vga port from the previous line, however a dell rep told me that these two ports have a single output, and you can't hookup two monitors to them. :( if anyone can confirm this, that would be great because I was getting my hopes up already and I want to make sure this is true.

Tell me which dell laptops offer dual monitor support please! Thanks!

The support has almost nothing todo with the brand and everything todo with the video hardware and driver support. If a particular notebook manufacturer could do it, it would be done with non standard hardware. Ive honestly never tried it on my asus would be interesting to see. I know it wouldnt work on my HP.

XoticPC sells add in cards for multi headed setups so im guessing that MSI, ASUS, just about any dont do it out of the box.

Almost all modern video hardware and drivers have the ability to support dual displays ( integrated display and external display). I havent had a laptop that did NOT support dual displays in many years. The question should be: how many laptops have a VGA and an HDMI port on them to support dual EXTERNAL displays?

I have both VGA and HDMI outputs and I can display on one external and the internal at the same time.

The user wishes to use two external displays and just because you have two forms of external output on your laptop does not mean you can use them both simultaneously. You did put all of that in your post however not asking more than the same question he did, which is my point.
