    I am getting my laptop insured by state farm and I need to know my computer's serial number and I dont know which one it is. like which tag is it on and whats around it.

    I belive its the number to the right of the barcode on the thin white sticker.

    I'm not 100% sure, but if you look on the bottom of your laptop, you'll see an area that is a black sticker and has a bunch of writing on it. On there or at least on mine, there is a silver part with a bar code and several number. I think that is your s/n but again I'm not 100% sure.

    You might contact Dell to verify which it is.

    That white strip in the middle (vertical) is the one that has the Service Tag and Express Service Code. Are you looking for the Service Tag? That could be mistaken for the S/N.
