    But you need to upgrade the RAM, it will requires to have at least 1 GB of RAM to run Vista smoothly.

    dos means no operating system...and home means home edition
    ok upgrade can be done later?
    i want to now which one is better?
    have core 2 duo 1.8 same power with core duo 2.0?
    is there any site that compared this two processors?

    In general performance in ascending order: Core Duo < Core 2 Duo with 2MB < Core 2 Duo with 4MB

    Core 2 Duo supports 64bit while Core Duo is only 32bit. And I’m sure even 1.8 Core2 with 2MB can outperform 2Ghz Core duo in most situations.

    So I'd go with the second option. In any case 512MB of memory is not enough, unless you are planing to upgrade it later yourself (normally cheaper than buying from DELL)

    Amazing what a simple Google search can turn up :p (Check the AnandTech article).
