How does this work? Will this lead to a possible solution?
When I plug in my printer to my m1330 which seems to whine from both the southbridge and cpu (iono if this is possible lol), the whining stops and for once I see myself in front of a near-perfectly quiet m1330 (the hd creates noise).
Can you guys help me find a solution to make this permanent without me having to plug in my printer to get rid of the whine.
much appreciated

As far as I know, plugging in something into one of the USB ports helps. I personally use RM clock, though, and my 1520 is nearly silent...except for the occasional fan noise.
Here's the guide I used btw:

Thanks for the suggestion but I was wondering what the pitfalls are.
what are the downsides to using rmclock?
I heard you can't even use it w/ vista, which is what i"m using right now.
If i plug in a flash drive or mouse receiver, it doesn't seem to have the same effect as the printer though.
Thanks for the suggestion -
