    mine's actually 8/8 but if as many people as i think have this 8/7 ship date it might be relevant somehow...

    I originally had a 8/6 ship date. A week ago (during that glass shortage) they delayed it to 8/7.

    I originally had a 7/31 ESD for my pink 1720. It's now been moved up to 8/7 as of today. Not sure if that's even the real date. It says 8/7 when I login to my account, but when I call the automated number, it says that there's no other info available (besides the fact that it's STILL in the build stage).

    I had a July 31st thats now a August 7th too, but my notebook is already shipped to the carrier so i think the 7th was just an estimation, i should get mine sooner

    i got a call on that day from a dell rep telling me it was delayed to: 8/7
