Does this happen everywhere? IE, home, work, coffee shops?

I ask because if it's just at home, maybe your home network isn't configured as well as it could be?

Well, if you know a thing or two about networking you can do some basic troubleshooting. Do a Start > Run > cmd, type ipconfig, hit enter and make a note of your laptop's wireless settings. Do they change after you come back from sleeping? Do they change again after repairing the connection?

I know that's general and not a lot of help, but that's where I would start. Again - it could be an issue specific to the m1530, but I haven't ordered mine yet so I couldn't tell you for sure.

I think that I found the solution for you. You need to go to Device Manager, go to Network Adapter, click Intel Wireless and then click Power Mgmt tab, then when you see those checked boxes, uncheck all of it and press okay. You should do same thing with Ethernet

That's why wifi turned off once wake from sleep.

Let me know if you need help on guiding those. It will solve the problem you have.

Took me a day to figure this out, it's only after I found out it was because of sleep mode I couldn't reconnect that it was easy to pin point this problem. Too bad I didn't find this thread before. Should be a sticky in the network forum.
