I was wondering if dell had plans on releasing a 14 inch studio laptop? Also the best video card available on the studio laptop at least for studio 15 is the radeon hd3450 i think.. How is that card? Im use to using nvdia graphic cards.

I wouldn't wait for at 14" model to come out, it was originally rumored on various sites early on that it was in the works and it would be release a few months after the 15 and 17. I'm pretty sure Dell has put an end to those rumours, I can't find a statement that confirms it. As for the video card I'm sure if you do a search you'll find a thread already up and running with more information.

He said he can't find the statement. But I too remember reading 2 or 3 times that Dell has no plans to release a smaller Studio laptop.

Actually, when the 15 and 17 inch studio releases were leaked, the same document or presentation or whatever it was revealed a 14 inch Studio laptop as well. As the pics and information from that document turned out to be valid, I still expect a 14 inch Studio is still coming. According to that information though, it's supposed to be coming in October.

    See http://www.engadget.com/photos/dell-inspiron-1435-1535-and-1735-leaked/795015/

In later Engadget news, I remember they themselves guessing that the 14 inch version was cancelled, because there has not been any news about it, but I'm guessing Dell just didn't announce it officially, because it will not come out for a while and they don't want people to wait for the 14 inch one. :)

I've never read an official statement from Dell that a) a 14 inch Studio was ever planned and b) that it was cancelled.

Both are low end, less power consuming laptop GPU's that are designed to fit in 13-15 inch laptops. Both these cards have similar performance and use a 64bit memory bus.

i dont think there will be a studio 14 since the inspiron 13 came out and that one is pretty good i rekon. Also heaps of other 13-14 inch laptops came out (Latitude - E). So yeah.
