    Hi,
I got a dell e1405 last summer, and it was running pretty good. But since last week I am running into a whole lot of stability problems, with the blue screen popping up many times. some common examples:

    1) IE crashes too often
    2) password not recognized after hibernating and restarting
    3) doesnt restart at all after hibernating
    4) blue screen of death many times (with wierd error codes of page fault errors, sysaudio.sys driver problems, etc).

    config - windows xp sp2 MCE, e1405, 1gb ram, 60gb HDD.

I have not loaded any new drivers at all, nor any new software. I cleaned the registry using registry mechanic and also checked my ram using the windiag utility - no errors reported. no heating problems either, temperature is within limits. antivirus/antispyware both report no problems.

I also did a system restore for a previous stable state, but the (3) and (4) problems do not stop.

any suggestions why this could be happening?
