    i was doing nothing but surfing the web last night while the windows auto update was running. at 69% completion, blue screen of death! my system is the vostro 1400 hardware discribed in my sig. i have vista basic, and all the stock driver installed stright from dell. why??? never happend since september

    Are you using Vista or XP? I did auto update on mine last night which is running XP Pro SP2 and has no issue.
