when i just got my inspiron i followed a guide here which talks about tweaking the vista os. It includes indexing, changing bootscreen, sidebar etc

after that, not if the tweaking did it or i format the thing did it, windows crash a lot. Usually crashes 3 -4 times a night when i open files or pictures. Then i went to diskcleanup, the error report queue thing is about 3-4 GB! I deleted them of course. However, everyday i check the error reporting queue is around 500 mb =-= so this means i have to disk clean up every day! Pls help out~

Personally I don't think this thread should be in here...may be the OS section...

what I would suggest is to do a clean reinstall...(I also use those treaks, but mine is working really well...)

I had similar problems after following that Vista Tweaking thread... it didn't do anything but screw up my laptop. I was forced to reinstall Vista which is what I'd suggest you do.
