I'm currently running Windows 7 on my laptop (also an Inspiron 1525) and I have yet to encounter any problems. All of my drivers were installed automatically. However, since you use Sound Blaster Audigy, you may encounter a problem there. From what I have seen so far, any drivers that currently work with Vista will work without a problem in Windows 7. You are able to upgrade from Vista, however, I do not recommend it. An upgrade from Vista to 7 takes forever. As for how to do this, all you need to do is download the Windows 7 .iso file from Microsoft and burn the .iso file to a DVD. After creating your Windows 7 disc, you install just as you would with any previous version of Windows.

Just wondering if you got Windows 7 downloaded and installed yet. If you did, how is it working for you so far?

Today i am going to install windows 7 on my lapi. Just want to know if i format my C drive and install windows 7 on C drive then my media direct work or not? i have 3 drive C and D, C have OS and D have my stuffs. and other partition which need Media direct is already there. I am using media direct and vista flawlessly . I just need to replace my OS i.e. from vista to Windows 7,without any changes like media direct and my D drive.
