(edit) Nevermind, i updated the drivers and it works fine now

i got the intel 2200bg wireless network card on my I6000, and it keeps dropping to a lower speed. Like the max is 54 mbps and then it drops to 36 then 24 then 18 and keeps getting lower and lower and it wont let me do any internet or networking things. does anyone know why it does it?
i got a strong signal (only 15 ft from it).
