    is it possible to tighten up my lid (screen) myself. Its not critical just noticable more loose than when first purchased. anyway thanks for any advise or help

    well i have a dv4000 and I had that problem and the hinge would rub against the casing and it would make a very annoying noise when opened, to take care of it i took of the "bezel" the plastic around the lcd and then i tightened the very loose screws on the hinge and the lcd to back panel screws also and that helped, no more squeaking!! do a Google search for "lcd removal" or "bezel removal" and find the process appropriate to your model
