    i got my 9300 few hours ago , so far its very good !

    it came 6 days earlier than the estimated shipping date!

    total = $1282 (including tax and shipping)

    i think it was a pretty sweet deal for this laptop ! lol ive been spending past few hours formatting and installing my own windows!

    i am jealous. can't wait for my 9300 in the mail. is the Dell OS really bad? I mean do I realyl need to format and use my own copy of XP in there?

    To sum it up...yes it is pretty bad. You don't have to do a clean install, but I would recommend it. Its better to get it done now because if you wait, eventually your system will slow down that you'll have to do a format and lose everything. There is just a ton of junk ware on there.

    They have a spare partition that is worthless IMO. If you do a clean install, the spare partition becomes invalid. The spare partition takes up at least 5 gb by itself.

    Its up to you if you want to use your own copy of XP. If it is the same version as what you order, then use it and enter the product code which is located on the bottom of your laptop for the license.
