well i bought a refurbished e6400 a couple months back. bought it and was really happy about the decision, i did hear the eee pause eee pause sound so i sent it in to get it fixed. 3 weeks later i got it and it would still make that sound but not as frequently. so i send it again with usb ports being loose and to fix the sound. 3 weeks later, also today i got it scratches all over the laptop and a letter saying we could not reproduce the same problems, so we sent it back the same... ? i think i would know if my laptop still had the problems. i spent an hour and 10 minutes on the phone today and they said they are going to fix it with a "special request" who knows wat that is...and said it will take a maximum of 1 week and 4 days...seriously...wow

so im like fine i have not been home yet so i havent turned it on and wen i do, with two different harddrive i get bsod before windows loads all the way...every time...im threating to contact the better business bureau and there like too bad we cant send a tech...

so im wondering should i just wait the 2 weeks and see wat happens? or sohuld i contact the bbb right now to get it fixed even faster? very disapointed right now...

How many days has passed since you ordered the laptop from the time you reported the problem?

It would actually be better (if you are willing to wait a couple more days) if they cant fix it the third time. When you get it back, request for a system exchange and if you talk to them nicely, the rep will approve it and send you a "new" system. New, not used, not refurbished.

this is based on my personal experience with my dell outlet purchase.

I've had worse, as have many others - certainly not the "worst ever."

I could write a short novel about my experiences getting an acceptable (though still not worth what I paid for it) M4400...

I'm lucky that I decited to send my new one back and got one from the outlet with even less issues for half the price.
