True... but Dell always runs discounts on a daily basis. For example, for the next few days you can get up to $450 off a notebook costing more than $2000.
Not as good as 25% but similar to the 15% they usually run. -
and starting next monday they'll have the 25% off again.

LOL, and here I thought I got a unique deal! [
]
Just my luck there will be another $750 sale before Christmas. Darn my impatience! -
Is there a confirmation on another 750 deal or is it just rumor? Appreciate the feedback.

If you're getting it from me, it's not even a rumor... I'm just saying I'd hate for it to happen.
If you've heard elsewhere.... ugh!
Actually, Dell hasn't charged my card yet so I'm assuming I could cancel the order if a better deal comes along in the next two weeks. -
dell hasnt charged you yet??? is it in dell preffered card or charge in cc cause they charge me already and i made a change so i told them to charge it to my dell preff. card because of the one month no bill but they still has not return my money yet in my 2 cc???
-
Just a regular credit card.
That's odd. I mean, I have the e-mail of my order confirmation and everything and I ordered over a week ago and just recently checked my balance.
I just assumed they were waiting for it to be shipped until they charged me.
I ordered on-line if that might make a difference. -
I have been looking at dell prices for a long time. Prices
seem to attractive at first, but when u look at it closely, the specs
of their laptop is minimal ( for $1000 laptops). If u want more
power in the laptop, u will end up paying $1800 plus.
HP's prices are a little better.

Well, I paid only $1500 for a 9200 with 1.8 Ghz and 1GB Ram.
Not a bad deal. -

Yeah, the upgrade to the UXGA is around $100, and the hard drive upgrade something like $15 and the bump up to the 2.0 was another $100 or so more. And yep, the service plans always get you.
I started out wanting a lot of the upgrades but slowly decided to forego them and chip away at the base price. The harddrive would have been nice but I wanted to cap it at $1500.
I have heard that 1 GB of ram will enhance system performance more than the upgrade from 1.8 Ghz to 2.0 so I went with the Ram. -
i just hope the battery last longer that the inspiron 8500 ans 8600!!!
wow! the price without the 25% off is just crazy!!
