    have a big problem with my usb, on storage both on flash drive and external hard drive. keep getting message up saying this is write protected try another device, tried everything. flash drive will work fine on other computers in work, but mine it wont, cant save, cant read, so annoying.
    looked into registry was toold to change storagedevice to a 0 but it wont let me, tried searhing the net for an answer, no luck so far.
    can anyone help. tried downloading softare nothing doing.
    any ideas, do i need to do a complete format and is this a virus? someting my anti virus has not picked up?

    i have found in the past that my anti virus was to blame with saving and writing to certain files...have you tried shutting it down and trying to access it?
