If the 9100 has a 16" screen, then WSXGA will be fine.

For comparison, I tried out a Sony A Series with its 17" screen and WUXGA resolution. Everything appeared as crisp and huge as it normally does on an XGA/WXGA screen. I can't guarantee this for a Dell, but for Sony, I was extremely surprised to see that everything was large, sharp and readable.

Even if it's too small, you can scale the DPI settings so it everything is bigger and you still retain sharpness in games. That's what I had to do to my 15" UXGA screen in my current laptop, and I'm very happy with it.

    Pentium 4-M 1.6 GHz - 15" UXGA
    512 MB RAM - 40 GB
ATI Mobility Radeon 7500 64 MB

sure, resolution can be changed to almost anything else. just keep in mind it won't look as nice.
