I have been looking and i was wondering if wsxga can be changed in resolution to be exactly like wxga.Example i want to play video games and i dont want wsxga to be too small what should i do?
Thinking of getting a Inspiron 9100

If the 9100 has a 16" screen, then WSXGA will be fine.
For comparison, I tried out a Sony A Series with its 17" screen and WUXGA resolution. Everything appeared as crisp and huge as it normally does on an XGA/WXGA screen. I can't guarantee this for a Dell, but for Sony, I was extremely surprised to see that everything was large, sharp and readable.
Even if it's too small, you can scale the DPI settings so it everything is bigger and you still retain sharpness in games. That's what I had to do to my 15" UXGA screen in my current laptop, and I'm very happy with it.
