    xps 1210, camera button no worky

    Reinstalled XP, got everything up to speed minus the camera button.
    Used to launch logitech quick cam, now nothing at all.
    Any suggestions?

    I asked this same question a few days ago with no reply. My friend with a 1210 is in the same boat. Seems like it's easier to repair the media direct button than the camera button. (Yes. All of the drivers have been installed.)

    Umm... drivers n all? how about the ALL part... did you install the Dell QuickSet drivers? I reinstalled my xp 1210 to get rid of the bloat ware... and my cam button worky's :D Make sure you have the quickset drivers installed.

    anyone else ever get their camera button to work? i just reinstalled xp on my m1210 and my camera button doesn't work either. installed everything as well, logitech software and drivers as well as dell quickset. any help would be appreciated, thanks.

    Nope. I've googled it, check Dell forums, etc. But haven't found the solution. Maybe there should be a warning in SG's reformat guide about this.

    Anyone figure this problem out? I just reinstalled Vista in my new m1210 and the camera button does nothing.... I would like to get it to work.

    nevermind... I installed the latest logitech software (137mb) off of dell's support site and it worked.

    no problems on either xp pro or vista ultimate button works in both installed all software, pushed the button and took a picture
