    hi there,

i exeperience a high frequency noise (probably from cpu or gfx card ) when the xps is connected to the power supply and running in high performance mode, when i disconnect the power supply or select the energy saving mode the noise suddenly stops, and reappers instantly when i undo those things...

my brother told me that there is a fix somewhere in the forums but i couldnt find something using the search function

do you know what i mean, and is there a fix for this ?

I think you might be referring to the "CPU whine" common to this laptop. Try searching for that.
