The spec between the two are pretty much identical which you've also pointed out. If I were you, I'd get whichever suits your eyes better.
I'd get Stuido XPS 16 though if it were me for that SSD, but Studio 15 has better GPU. -
the xps im looking at doesnt have a ssd
that would be the perfect combo, but it would be to expensive for my budget -
bumpppppppppppp

Mobility HD4670 is way better than the one in Studio 15. By the way, I've heard that the Studio XPS has this throttling problem. Especially with the core i7 mobile processor.

If you want something for school to carry all day long between class, you will find the XPS 16 pretty big & heavy. I bought the XPS 16 for school too and i should have bought the smaller 13 inch version. I love it as my desktop replacement, i will probably buy a XPS 13 soon only for school.

Can you order from Costco? They have a deal going on right now for the Studio 15. Plus you can buy the XPS 16 for a $100 more if you want but with half the ram and no MS office. The video on the XPS is much better but also runs the batt down much faster from what I've heard.
Plus you get 90 days no hassle return which makes it a no brainer.
xps 16 vs studio 15
