i thought i was being paranoid, but after using my computer for a few hours with my webcam disabled (well at least it's switched off, i think... there's no blue light to indicate that it's on, and i haven't used it at all this time round after i've switched on the computer), i was checking the computer when i found out that it's actually quite hot at the camera... are u guys experiencing the same 'problem'? if so, wot is causing this?

Are you still having this problem? I think that I am having the same problem with my built video camera. Although I don't think that it ever worked. The application will open and I can initially see an image but then it soon becomes scrambled. I spoke with Dell and they said that it was related to a Vista driver issue, but I formatted the hard drive and installed XP and still get the same result.

    Hi Lord Farkward,
When you use the camera, does it appear to function fine? Is there any strange electrical buzz around the camera that you can notice? A little heat around the camera is probably normal, being that it's recognized as a usb device even though it's internal to the computer. I haven't been notified of any problems with the cameras, but if it continues to be an issue, please contact technical support.
