I just got my xps yesterday and everything was fine until today I clicked on the media direct button when my computer was off and it booted up then it gave me this blue screen. Tells me to restart it and go into safe mode but when i do it says to load Windows XP OS and and it just gives me another blue screen again! what should i do? :(

Bugger! I have the exact same blue screens of death. It all started recently when I decided to do a complete wipe of Vista. So I got my MD 3.5 disc and allocated partitions and then went on to install vista. So all was fine.. But then one day I pressed the media direct button , ( Which I hadn't installed - ( to finish installing you have to boot vista and put in the MD 3.5 disc and then run it ) ) and it came up with your first BSOD. And all the others seem to follow.

    Any help really would Help!

If Media Direct isn't installed properly, the Media Direct button becomes a self-destruct button (at least if the system is off). You have to "prepare" the hard drive using the Media Direct CD before installing XP or Vista. Then you install your operating system. Then you go back to the Media Direct CD to install it within Windows.
