I didn't think the One was a laptop -- I thought it was an all-in-one PC system similar to the Apple desktops.
-
well, if the M2010 is a laptop....
-
now I'm dying to find out what it is..
looks like a laptop, but why would they come out with another one when the 1730 just came out?! -
It's an all-in-one desktop isn't it? People were commenting that it's Dells version of the Macbook somethingmajiggy.
Where the screen, CPU, GPU is all the same thing - almost like a laptop. I'm sure I even saw pictures of it somewhere
http://gizmodo.com/photogallery/xpsone/1000034172 - here's the picture I saw. -
Dell's iMac, looks quite good.
-
It uses notebook hardware so it is a notebook...of some sort...
By the way is the graphic card still a Radeon HD2400? It wouldn't be much of a card to compete with the iMac. -
Just because it uses some notebook hardware doesn't make it a notebook. It's a desktop computer designed to be similar to an iMac.
-
Is the M2010 a notebook by you definition? Ok it can be carried around but its bulky and is a quasi desk hog.
-
The M2010 is NOT a notebook; rather a portable all-in-one desktop (that is what it was designed as, anyway).
The XPS One is another all-in-one desktop aimed at the imac and gateway lineups. Personally, I think it looks much nicer than either one, plus it is being manufactured by Asus (which is a big + in my book) -
The M2010 could be considered a laptop because it's truly portable as compared to the XPS One. Both can be used as a Desktop or Desktop Replacement, however the XPS One is not designed to lug around with you from place to place.
Do you consider an iMac to be a laptop? How about the 24" iMac? It must be a laptop because it uses laptop parts.......right?
-
Dell XPS ONE was called earlier called Dell XPS A2010
-
And your reliable source would be?
-
The XPS One and A2010 are one in the same....
-
Dell Rep at a Kiosk!
-
It uses mobile components, including a mobile graphics card... But stop crying over what kind of computer it is, guys, jeez.
Point is, looks great. -
If I had a nice desk to put it on I would return my 1330 and get one ASAP! I think Dell did a really nice job with the A2010. I have seen how to open it and it is VERY slick and VERY easy to open and replace parts, tweak ,etc....
-
Dell has caught up on design with M1330, the XPS One is better than Gateway and Apple's AIO.
-
so is a notebook or desktop? where will i find it if i look for it on dell when its released? in the notebook or desktop section?
-
it's a desktop, you'll find it in the desktop section of Dell's site.
-
i find it hilarious how "beautiful" they think the computer is.
-
If it can be configured with one of the new mobile 8800m GTX cards, or an SLI configuration, it could possibly be one power packed lil' system!
Unfortunately, it'll probably come with an 8600GT or 2600XT as most "average" laptops are nowadays. Still, if it could, Dell could have a hardcore system in a small package. -
I give it a resounding "ehhh"
-
The M2010 has a battery (lasts 30 mins, but hey...). The One has no battery.
-
Cuz you know they're the brightest bulbs in the bunch!
