I would suggest the Latitude E6400, since it has true business-laptop quality. I also like the look better, although that's very subjective.

i would get the e6400 any day over the 1530. The xps has gpu issues.

If you were getting an IGP (which I'd recommend on the E6400 as well), I'd say there's nothing wrong with the M1530. I personally think it's a solid, well-designed machine (save for the issues with the Nvidia GPU, of course) albeit a little old. That being said, I'd go for the E6400 over the M1530 any day as well; you're getting a newer platform with a longer standard warranty at about the same price; it'll be an even better deal if you buy from the Outlet.

Toss up! They are both great machines...XPS has had the GPU issues (you get the 1 year extended warranty cuz of this).

The Latitude is a sweet machine, and you will get better Support with the Latitude if you had any prob's...bad to say but you will ;)

Comes down to personal choice..and what you want out of the spec's and performance of each, etc. :D

    Cin ;) :)

No, the XPS has some GPU issues that's why it has an extended 1 year warranty. The thing about the support being better on the Latitude is because Dell Business has a better support than Dell Home.

Save yourself some heartache and get the Latitude.

This from someone who has both and has used warranty service on both in the US as well as abroad.
