HI all....just curious...do any of yuo have burn problesm with -r TDK DVDs (from Costco) in your M140? I have a whole spindle and they seem to be giving me some problems at 4x....funny thng is, one dvd played on my crappy jwinn player but won't play back on my dell....is there a brand that works best +r or -r?

I don't know why, but sometimes DVD players just like to not work. I typically use Memorex CD-Rs and DVD-Rs. But for some reason some DVD+Rs won't play on my $300 JVC DVD player but will play fine on my PS2 and computer. My suggestion would be to just try another brand. Also, if it was recorded using a DVD recorder instead of a burner, it may need to be finalized, but that wouldn't explain why it would work on another player. Like I said, you may just have to try a different brand, maybe Verbatim.

Thansk I will try Verbatim....is ther any advantage to -r over +r?

I would recommend sony and +r because they are more versitile than -r
