    Ive heard this outputs 5.1 from the jack on the right side.

    What cable do i need to connect it to reciever?

    im guessing its coax since an universal optical cable didnt work.

    im awaiting an usb 5.1 thing with optical. If i can make it work from the 1710 i could use the usb device on another dell notebook.
