    my vostro should arrive on tuesday, is the shipment dilivered right to my front door? or do they sent me instructions on how to pick it up. I live in a apartment in toronto canada. thanks for the help

    i dont know if dhl is avaiable in your area but yes it should be shipped to your door.

    They should be leaving a message to call DHL if ever DHL is the courier, so that you can just pick it up there.

    Purolator is the courier in Canada. Track the shipment online - a status of "Out for Delivery" or something similar, early in the morning, is a sure sign that delivery will be attempted that day.

    You'll have to sign for it at your front door. If no one is there, look out for a Attempted Delivery sticker or door hanger on your door (sometimes at the apartment front door if they can't get in -so watch out).

    They will either attempt delivery again the next day, or give you a number to call where you can redirect delivery or arrange to have it held at a Purolator depot (there are several in the GTA) for you to pick up.

    usually you get about 2-3 tries, except thats how it was when ups had shipped my dell desktops. dont panic after 2-3 tries they'll just keep it at the office until you have the time to pick it up.
