    5 beeps when GPU is not inserted, but hits UEFI setup with GPU in. Am I good to go or not?

    Doing my first build ever today and I'm very confused about what's going on. If I get to the bios screen and it recognizes all my components, am I ok?

    I should've been more specific.

    I looked up the 5 beep POST code for my MoBo and it said a CPU failure. I tried reseating it and the cooler, didn't change anything. But when I plug the video card in and hook it up to a monitor, I don't get any beeps and it takes me to UEFI setup, not bios.

    Need way more info friend. What platform are you on?
    Sounds like your on x99 and your simply going into the UEFI on boot since you likely haven't installed an OS yet.

    Okie dokie, I did figure that out. Now I have a bigger problem. I got everything mounted in the case, turn it on. Everything sounds as it should, no post beep...but my monitor says no signal and my MoBo USB ports don't work...the CMOS battery is out right now and I'm just gonna leave that for a while so it'll reset. If that doesn't work, than idk. This is my first build

    I don't see what the problem is. You mentioned you made it to the UEFI screen in your previous post.

    That was my out-of-the-case build. Now I don't get a HDMI signal (my MoBo doesn't have integrated graphics) and my motherboard USB ports aren't working, so I can't do any bios stuff

    I would check all your MB cables are correctly positioned and making good contact . If your out of the case build worked , so should your incase build right?
