My brother has an annoying problem. While gaming he´s begun to get an audio beep in the headphones (not from the case) accompanied by the game freezing for a short time. It´s not constant, we haven´t been able to pinpoint what triggers it. There´s no message on the desktop like Windows key presses or the like.
Edit: It now beeps all the time even with no program running /edit
We don´t live close so I can´t help troubleshoot on site. My searches came up empty, any ideas?
Desktop anno 2011, i3 something, AMD 7850. Steelseries Siberia v2 (pretty sure it´s 3,5 mm audio plug).
Temps unknown, I´ll have him install HWinfo and check.

So it seems to have been a faulty USB-port that triggered it. He switched USB-port for the mouse and so far all problems are gone. Fingers crossed..

Bump for posterity. The mouse or driver conflict was to blame.
The problem continued with other ports. A new mouse in both ports works after several hours of gameplay.HTWingNut likes this.
