To some of my friends, here are pictures and final build for my Coffee Lake build. I had some issues with it recently, but I got it fixed and decided to keep it.
i5-8400 - $187 free ship.
Noctua heatsink - re-used it from my previous builds over the years
16GB 2x8GB DDR4 3200 - $122 - free ship no tax.
MSI Z370 MoBo - $89 (assuming I get my $10 rebate card in the mail) otherwise $99. free ship no tax.
Samsung 960 EVO 500GB with EK Nickel Plate cooling - re-used from previous build.
MSI 1080 Ti the Duke - $734 - free ship no tax. -does 2025 on the core no downclocking.
Corsair 750w PSU - re-used from previous build.
Case- free from my nephew who decided not to go through with his new build.
10 TB HDD - $289 free ship no tax. (because its so cheap and will basically last me a lifetime so why not)
Overall out of pocket I spent a total of: $1,456 give or take a few dollars. since I am having trouble selling this laptop, I think I am just going to Ebay Valet it, and let an Ebay Valet sell it for me and keep 20% of the sell, if it doesn't sell, then I think I will just keep it for myself as backup or something.
Sidenote: this is the smallest case ever made to my knowledge, that can fit a full size PSU, AtX mobo, noctua heatsink (side panel doesn't fit back on but who cares bruh, the i5-8400 stays ice cold even if i had no fans on it, its a beast and i love it.
