First and foremost, it's USB-C ONLY, no HDMI--
"Video, data, and power over a single USB-C cable"

Secondly, scaling 4k on a 21.5" screen is gong to be horrible (IMO).

I assume it uses Thunderbolt 3, so any computer having that port should be able to drive the LG UltraFine? I would like to use the Intel Skull Canyon with it as the main display.

Wow the only video input is usb-c. The've lost there marbles....Soooooo many dongles needed for future mac devices. I usually look for more ports with monitors and computers not mac people I guess they like less.

With newest macbook you only need usb-c to usb-c cable, I don't see the problem

No problem until you need to plug this into a computer with anything other than usb-c or until you need to plug your mac into anything with ports other than usb-c.

    Options my friend options...

    Then there's reports like this
    http://bgr.com/2016/09/20/iphone-7-headphones-jack-sound-test/
    http://wccftech.com/iphone-7-headphone-jack-poor-quality/

These dongles aren't cheap either and for a device that's already overpriced HW spec wise and something that should be included it just doesn't make sense In My Opinion.

Dude stop complaining, USB-C is the future, I wouldn't be surprised newer iPhones to switch to usbc too from lightning. The proper way is to buy a complete hub like the OWC, otherwise get some Asus ROG 17'' with lots of ports, even some of them hackintosh works.

New stunning OLED monitor a bit pricey:

    Dell UltraSharp UP3017Q

    I want one.

I'm not trying to start a apple flame war here I just don't think one port needs to obsolete everything I own in a single bound.

Now I know it's usb-c only there's clear what you can expect. Either you computer has usb-c or you use a hub with HDMI that outputs 4k@60FPS. The Intel Skull NUC is able to provide that due to Intel Iris Pro 580.
