    Hi..

Can anyone who has used a recent external monitor, either decent IPS or TN, comment if there is a noticeable difference in blur compared to laptop IPS displays of ~30ms gtg?

With varying monitor specs your asking a chicken and egg question here. Since anyone can have different size monitor and laptops to Gaming laptops each will perform differently with different monitors.

I'm not sure chicken and egg is the metaphor you're after. Maybe needle in a haystack? I even tried to google a better one.

Laptop IPS displays are very slow for the most part. Anyone using a halfway modern IPS or TN will most likely halve the response time at least.

I was just wondering if people notice a substantial difference in blur. I'm sure there are many users here who have looked at both.

Sometimes these things aren't all they're cracked up to be.

A lot of people are buying 144hz screens, then running them in g-sync often resulting in less than 60 hz. So any significant blur reduction is response time.
