So I never had a desktop. I mean I had one, like 15 years ago, but it was so simple and made for surfing only. By the time I change to laptops/netbooks/Tablets etc...
Anyway, I want to have a powerful pc which I can upgrade by the time. here's the build, I hope you like it:
CPU: i5-6600K
CPU Cooler: Arctic Freezer 7 PRO Rev.2
Motherboard: Gigabye GA-Z170MX Gaming 5
RAM: Kingston HyperX FURY 8GB DDR4 2400MHz CL15 X2
GPU: Nvidia GTX 1070/80 (When comes out)
GPU Cooler: Liquid Type
SSD: Samsung 850 Evo 250GB
PSU: SeaSonic 850W Active PFC Modular 80+ Gold X-850
Case: Corsair Air 240
What do you think?

I assume your not planning to build it later this year or possibly next year? I would suggestion a little more ram as newer AAA games are starting to show signs of using more than 8gb ram. Well I guess it depends on the type of games you plan to play. Plus the size of games and Windows is going to eat that 250gb ssd up. Might wanna add a mechanical drive like 2tb for large game installs.

Actually I buy 16gb ram ("X2"), and 250gb is enough actually - 3-4 games in total, nothing else (NFS, GW2, Rainbow six or starwars and 1 more game...) No need for more.

I would agree with pathfinder and drop at least an additional 1TB HDD. Modern games take a lot of space. -
Definitely have an extra mechanical HDD or two for bulk storage. My Steam account alone takes up one of my two 1TB drives (~80 games)...

Why do you have so many games installed all at once? -
I have the HDD space and a half-gigabit fiber connection. Why not?
-
That is why I don't need more than 250gb(its actually 210-220 with windows left, but still)
About having 80games... Are you seriously play so many at once? -
Oh gawd no. I've played maybe 5-7 of my 80 Steam games. Then I have about two dozen on Origin, then a handful of stand-alone games (mostly older CD games and WarGamming.Net games).
Blame Steam's Summer/Winter Sales.. -

I see. The way you wrote it (or I read it), made me think you actually have 80 games installed at once.
I see you like to live on the edge.
I would still strongly recommend you to get more space. I have a couple of games, Wolfenstein New Order and Shadow Of Mordor, and together they take up 100GB. Add GTA V with its almost 70GB install, FSX at 60-70GB, and a bunch of other games (which today usually need 30GB of space). And there's 300GB of music too. I would die with 250GB...
Speaking of music, don't you have any additional data on PC? Where are you storing it? -
OP please get a bigger HDD.. 250GB isn't big enough nowadays!
hmscott and pathfindercod like this. -
No, I actually have all those games installed. I just hacen'the gotten around to playing them.

Why? Seems like a waste of space. -

well, if you're gonna get a decent rig, why cheap out on the SSD/HDD? Not to mention if you OP the SSD, 250gb won't be enough even for now.
I, too, install all of my games (though not as many as Jarhead's) but just in case, I'll EVER touch them. If that day does come, I'll have no excuse that just because I've not installed the game so I can procrastinate till tomorrow. -
Ok so I got the pc... A M A Z I N G ! ! !
So fast, so quiet... so real
I guess I'll buy a new HDD, because after getting Just Cause 3, I got mad (50GB for godsake) -
What specs did you end up at? GPU?
