I plan on getting a GTX 980Ti and repasting it with ICD for OC purposes. Which company allows this without voiding any warranties?

I know EVGA doesn't mind. I did my Zotac 980ti..not even sure if they allow it but there is no way they can tell anyway.

With the coolers these things have on them its really not necessary unless you have major heat issues. But first check its not like improper air flow or case/airflow issue. I would use it first and see how it does before ripping it apart.

As long as there aren't any warranty stickers they won't be able to tell. Well as long as you use paste that's the same color lol

The OP is not talking about heat issue, he is just planning to get the card, if i'm reading correctly.
Why don't you just try first, as soon as you get the card, you may not need any repaste at all.
And if you really want to OC and the temps that you will get concerns you, i sugest to go watercooled. A repaste is not going to give you huge temperature reduction, few degrees at most. Just my advice. -

For one thing it is already OC to stable settings and like another poster said if you want to extreme OC you need to do water cooling Air Cooling only go so far. -
Ok Got the Gigabyte G1 Gaming 980Ti. Can't really OC it until monitor arrives on monday.

FYI it comes factory OC .....only if you want extreme OC then that is up to you to do. -
I like extreme OC. Ex-laptop OCer here. I am the kind of person who deals with temps near ~90 degrees.

Desktop or Laptop GPU's shouldn't run at above 80C if you want to keep them working for a good long time... Honestly 85C tops but don't run 90... It's for your own good!pathfindercod likes this.
