    Hi guys,
Yesterday I modded my rtx 2080 (Gigabyte Gaming OC) w/Kraken G12+x62.
I'm really happy so far, temps went from 50ºC idle (air fans auto stop when temp is < 55º in this card) to 20ºC idle, 60ºC load to 37ºC load, while clocks have been upgraded from 1980Mhz (variable, sometimes low 1900, sometimes almost 2000, depending on the temp) to sustained 2040 (I believe this clock can be little higher, but not much).
I was afraid because I'm noob regarding mods, but everything went fine. If you have any questions I'll try to answer you the best I can.

buying a deskptop these days is like having a cell phone the size of a air conditioner. yes they have more power but size wise you get diminishing returns relative size.....point....why on earth in 2019 are people still buying desktops.....I bet they will start making those enormous CRT tvs again and people will jump on the CRT bandwagon again.....simply put this is disgusting technological de-evolution.

    Rants over.

ekkolp I have a question, how hot does your gpu get while playing the witcher 3 and is their a way to setup a custom fan curve with the kraken

If you don't need portability and crave maximum performance, a desktop is the only way to go. Luckily, you don't have to pick one or the other. You can have both or compromise based on need to purchase the ideal portable if you only want/need one device.
