So I just did a free upgrade for myself by flashing both my EVGA 980 Ti GPUs with the EVGA 980 Ti SC BIOS which only adds 100 MHz to the GPU core but I'd rather have this small and stable overclock done at the BIOS level because if I tried to overclock using EVGA Precision X, even though the benchmarks would be stable, when I watch videos I would sometimes get some flickering or the whole player would crash.

I was able to achieve +250 MHz overclock on the memory using EVGA Precision X but again I don't want any instability so I'll settle for this GPU overclock for now from 1000 MHz to 1102 MHz.

Score went up significantly though even though it's a very small OC

He's saying if you're going to go through the trouble of flashing a bios, might as well flash a fully unlocked bios with no power limit and with voltage maxed out so you can push your cards to the limit.

ahh ok, well it's easy to say, hope he can recommend something. You see my main issue is, when I flashed my 780M BIOS a while back, every reboot I would get this stupid flash screen saying who made the BIOS. There was no way to remove that so that added 3 to 5 seconds additional time to my startup. I don't wanna have this not even if the BIOS is gonna double my performance, which is why I opted for the EVGA SC stock BIOS

Over at Overclock.net you can find an unlocked vbios.
Regarding the vbios author splash screen. I believe you'll only see that in Legacy mode. If fast boots is something you cherish you move over to full UEFI.

He is right Matrix, I flashed my 780m's on my AW18 never saw the splash screen at all. I was using full UEFI.

So now your 980ti's are the same as my 980ti SC. I can get another 125mhz on my core and about 500mhz on my memory and still be rock solid stable. Boost I can hit 1477. This is without a voltage boost. I need to play around a little more to see what I can get by uping my voltage in Precision X

For Windows 7 you have to have CSM enabled there is no full UEFI
