So was there a reason you don't go Ryzen 1800x or Riptide series? Also what I would do is go to a NVMe main drive 500g if possible and then get mulitple HDD 6tb or bigger that would do more if you plan to storage or NAS or just have places to backup to. Midtower is good but make sure it has Room for 1080 (1080Ti is what I would get might be much but if you want SLI and money isn't problem go Ti.) otherwise me I would go with MSI GTX1080Ti (IMO) as MSI from my experience have dual fans that each run separately of each other as needed that I recall. But remember you pay for what you get. To get close or 4K requires alot of power and most software including some games aren't 4K so unless everything is 4K that for me is hard to swallow. Get a Burning BDR drive that way you have options I know they are talking UHD but trust me how much will you really use that feature? If the drive is UHD make sure it Burns UHD BD otherwise that is a lost cause. Most movies I seen at DVD or BD are just fine for my viewing pleasure I am not running a Movie Theater set with a screen the size of Movie Theaters to start with. My biggest set is 32" big and that is big enough since I set 5 feet away from it. And that works for our Nintendo Switch when the family kids come over. As to RAM get 32g if you can unless it is price prohibited.

Thank you for your reply, the reason I don't go ryzen is because I literally just traded for this system and I want to push it as far as it can go before I think about new chipset/board as far as the NVMe drive goes I have ordered 2 a 500gb Samsung 960 pro and a 1tb 960 evo they are supposed to be here next week ordered them on Thursday I also ordered another 16gb kit to make it 32, I currently have a asus gtx 1080 turbo on this system and again ordered another one and a sli bridge, the 1080 ti I have is in the x9 build I have started the items that are listed is what I already have purchased or came with the system when I traded for it its the desktop in my sig

That's good that you have a GP already and just adding on - I thought you were looking for Two to start but if you have one already I do what you did get a matching one. Others would stay doesn't matter but sometimes there are quirks that could happen. If holding on the CPU that is ok. NVMe is the way to go for Main drive in the future. That is what I did after 10 years of i5 - I went to R5 1500x and If I known would got 32g Ram but instead took 16g and now the prices are just outrageous. I'll keep mine long as I can or until the board no longer offers UEFI update and then I will consider a knew system as that will be able to do more but I usually keep mine for at least 9+ years unless it goes out before that. Currently I have a GTX1060 6G but I think that will handle Witcher 3 without killing itself but that is where I am deciding to get a Gaming Laptop so I can do other stuff with my Desktop should anything go wrong. That's what I think I want to do but we will see about that. And my sceen is only 27" 2550x1440 plenty big on my computer Desk as it wide as the Desk. lol But it's working so far and I am happy with it. Might have to load the Witcher series on it since been itching me for long time to play them again.

yeah and I got a really good deal on them both I got first one for 380 second one for 429.99 first is used but whatever it still works I was thinking about changing to a open air case because this one is dinged up a little but that's just for looks, once I end up trading/selling this one I will trade out the case for another one and I have a lot of dogs that shed a lot so open case would prob be a bad idea
