Decided to build a mITX system. It all started as a $300 pfsense build and then over a course of a couple weeks I switched parts out to make it a small gaming/theater rig.

Thats about right lol. The GPU is huge already but it dwarfs the motherboard and case.

@pathfindercod LOL I love that you say this started as a $300 build. It's how I rationalize things to the wifey, and then somehow I end up going way over budget.

Told you it was a budget build lol.. Yeah it was what I had a available. Plus I got it for free. I might bite the bullet and grab a better one.

The only issue I have is a higher end psu is larger and I will have to remove the 3.5 drive bay go get a bigger psu in there.

Pretty freaking awesome! What's wrong with the PSU? It seems fine for this build.

    http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/id-2547993/psu-tier-list.html

Doesn't mean it's entirely bad and it probably will serve fine, but you know, having more expensive components and overclock it's better to play safe with power supply.
I'm actually surprised how often I see CX PSUs in builds around the Internet. People have i5/i7/970/980/980ti rigs with that PSU... They must be going by the brand name, or, like in OP's case, price. "Oh looks, it has Corsair slapped on it, it must be good!"
I myself considered CX for my build. Then I read some stuff, and found that for almost the exact same price I could get a Seasonic with all Japanese caps, which I did. Sure it's not modular (modular one costs ~20EUR more), but at least I know some quality went into production.

@killkenny1 I think you're right about it being brand loyalty or security net. When I first put my build together I went with the Corsair CX750M, and by all means it still works perfectly in my brothers resurrection build. I never had a single issue with it. Never heard any weird sounds, and never had a single hiccup while delivering power to my overclocked 5820k, 970, and a ridic amount of case fans and CPU AIO. The reason I decided to make the switch my current PSU was after reading some of the reviews on the unit. I also temporarily went with SLI 970, and then my 980 ti. I just didn't want to risk burning up a fairly expensive build.

The 10 year warranty sticker on the box of my EVGA PSU gives me some comfort, and makes me believe EVGA* must trust the product to ensure its reliability for that long.

Well.... I actually pulled the cx850 today and have a ax860i inbound for the build. One issue I have with the h100i gtx is the vertical power board I had to loose a fan on the h100i gtx. Corsair said the case was designed for the thinner h100i. So I pulled that and ordered a h80i to try out.. At least till I find a better cpu option. Might do a custom loop in it, not sure yet.

Yeah true, thats why I went with my eVGA 220-G2-0750-XR PSU because of solid Japanese caps.

Making some changes and fixing some stuff. Issue with the Asus Impact the vertical power board makes a couple cooler tight. The only recommended cooler for this case is the h100i as the rad is thinner. The h100i gtx is thicker making the fans hit the vertical power board. The h80i I bought will not fit in the side, back or front. The case hits the rad in the back and I don't want to modify the case by bending or cutting. The fans in the front are threaded in the care and not open like a standard fan hole.
So i got lucky and found brand new h100i's in stock at corsair. Then found a extended psu bracket to allow larger psu's and still keep the 3.5 hdd bracket. Then yanking the cx850 psu and replacing with ax860i..
