    https://thenextweb.com/gear/2017/04/06/samsung-massuve-double-wide-display/

Samsung is introducing a 49" wide LCD monitor at 144Hz and with options for G-sync or FreeSync, both at 3840 x 1080 and 3840 x 1200 with 1800R curvature. Starts production September 2017, so likely not available until end of 2017 or beginning of 2018.

This thing looks incredible. Time to start saving my pennies.

I just purchased a Vizio 50" P series 4K tv as my new monitor. Like having 4x25" displays (granted capped at 60hz). It's a VA display, 126 active dimming zones. Got it and a stand so it can fit on my desk for about $800.

Nice! I have the Acer Predator x34 G-sync. I love it. With this Samsung though I would be sacrificing vertical space for horizontal space. My Predator is 3440x1440 while this Samsung is 3840x1200, but would be 144Hz vs 90Hz, and much bigger. I also have an LG 3440x1440 60Hz LCD above that one too, that I got for $500. I haven't found TV's to be so great for gaming though, but 50" does make for a huge LCD though. :)

Check out rtings.com! They break it down by category, including use as apc monitor and gaming (and hdr gaming)!

Edit: they do some nuanced testing, good calibration notes, lag times, etc. They buy the TVs instead of cherry picked samples. I think you'll like the breakdowns. You may want to check the ratings they have independent of the recommendations to find a good fit.

Nice. No space for something that wide yet, but when I get a room converted and a new desk...

By the time this comes out and I can afford it, I should be able to use it with the Titan Ti-ti PxxP.

Even a 1070 should get great performance with that display, I'd love to see what the top end would do.

I'm waiting for Vega to see where things wind up. That and to see if any cohesion benefit of Ryzen and Vega. I'll get the card first, then my 16 core later, most likely...

My 980 Ti struggles to keep 60-70 FPS at 3440x1440 but hoping the 1080 Ti will change all that. :) I think hitting 144Hz at that resolution will be an issue for any card now, including the new Titan Xp.

The numbers look like it might just barely scrape 144 to me, but we'll have to get some more user scores to see how practical that is.

Very nice. Hard to justify for the masses, unless you are in graphic design though!

Don't need refresh for design, just resolution.
