hello, was playing a bit with online shop configurators and came up with configuration that suits me the best. tell me what you think, should i buy this now or wait for next gen intel/nvidia stuff.

should i change something in configuration, did i pick some bad parts, let me know.

i didnt pick any monitor yet cause i first need to do research on em, since i really have no idea what is good stuff atm but i would go with 1440p pannels 60hz probably.

Buying a 7700K retail is horrible value at the moment - it's already obsolete and for the same price you have either an 8700K or R7 1700X - both MUCH better in every way.

this ****y configurator dosent let you pick all stuff you want, you first have to pick pre build PC from the list and then edit its configuration, now problem is, if i want some PC with 8th gen CPU inside (aka 8700k) then im stuck with some ****y case that i cant change at all, and if i wanna pick case i wanted (would have to edit some other pc), then i cant pick any CPU from 8th gen, just 7th and best from it is the one i picked, overclocked one. and worst part is, many of pre build PCs have monitors included and you cant pick option ''no monitor'' in most of em, so u are forced to pick some monitor too.

if i decide to pick this CPU, it cant be bottleneck for 1080ti right? not even for pair of em?

anyway this is configuration with 8700k, only difference is mainboard and CPU inside+****y case that i cant change.

If you don't like the case, you could always buy one later and move the guts over to it. Thats what I'm gonna do eventually.

Of course not, the 8700K is a MUCH better CPU than the 7700K. Either 8700K or R7 1700X - anything older is pointless.

It's usually that way at the beginning of a new CPU / motherboard release cycle, makers have pre-built up frames with the new CPU's in a limited build list - you can't change the box or the motherboard, if you want the scarce CPU.

If the CPU can be had, maybe buy the parts and put it together yourself, it's not hard, and you might find it's actually fun and rewarding :)

i found something even better, only downside (again) is in costume cooling option i cant pick 1080ti for some reason, and in normal build i can pick 1080ti (founders edition)

this is what i would pick now (just instead 1080 i want 1080ti's, i will have to call and ask is it possible, i dont want 1080 lol.)

@mrfox or one of those guys can help you out and build you a way better system for the same price I would hit up MrFox or any of the other reputable builders in the marketplace (at the bottom of the forum list)

Build your own PC man, it's a lot more fun than buying one pre-built. Use online parts configurators to give you a handle on what parts are compatible with each other. Do not buy a 7700K CPU, it's outdated in terms of only 4 cores available - sure it's a great CPU still for gaming for folks who have one currently, but if you're building now it's silly to buy one. Get the 8700K 6 core CPU, it's the best gaming CPU out there & will be the best gaming CPU for the next year too. In terms of GPU I might be tempted to wait till next year & then get a Volta based GPU, but could be quite a wait. If you definitely want/need a system now, just go ahead with that 1080ti
